This is a beautifully written bedtime story about a boy's favourite toy which goes missing on a trip to Grandma's house.
When Tom goes to Grandma's house to stay, he remembers to pack everything - except his favourite toy, Small. Tom can't sleep without Small and imagines him sad and lonely in his bedroom in the dark . . . Small can't sleep either, so he climbs out of the window to go looking for Tom. Through dark woods Small runs . . . until he arrives at Grandma's house. Meanwhile, Tom is also out of bed and creeping downstairs to find . . . Small! And he'll keep him safe forever.
