These three stories are told in a narrative style similar to the Maori orators of old. The Fish of Our Fathers is a story about the building of a war canoe. In the Home of the Winds a defensive hill side Pa is built and in The House of the People a meeting house is designed and created. Each title includes a glossary of Maori words, a Maori pronunciation gide and facts about traditional Maori design.
