Before children can deal with the symbol-filled world of reading and mathermatics they must be able to see how things are alike and how they are different.  They must notice details, see relationships, direction and visually focus attention upon one image at a time.  The purpose of activities for visual skills development is to provide an activity oriented program through which early learners may develop their skilsl to preceive and make sense out of the world they see.
